Tiktokker, Ibrahim Musana aka Pressure 24/7 has today been granted a cash bail of two Million (2,000,000 Ugx).
This was after he was remanded for over 60 days by Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate His Worship Ronald Kayizzi.
This was after his surieties: his elder sister Brenda Nambozo, and his friend Ssembatya Ibrahim presented their documents that the government prosecutor took for examination and court adjourned the matter to the 29th of April 2024 for its decision which is today.
His arrest and detention are subsequent to accused of hate speech against the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II the king of Buganda kingdom and President Yoweri Museveni the president of Uganda.
Some people especially staunch baganda have come up to say that his actions offended the entire kingdom and they demanded for his prosecution.
However, this arrest, detention and charges against Pressure 24.7 have been criticised by human rights activists and lawyers have shown solidarity for Pressure 24/7.
Stella Nyanzi, a famous Activist posted on her X account, “Pressure-pressure 247! I stand with Ibrahim Musana.”
Famous City lawyer Male Mabirizi is fundraising for Pressure 24.7 to ensure thay justice is served. He went ahead and gave people a number where they should send money for Pressure 24.7 -0701881231
Other Activists have noted that even mentally ill people have a right to freedom of expression and deserve protection from torture by autocratic kings and militant dictators in Uganda.
Pressure 24/7 has been cautioned by court not to mention anything related to the case on his social media pages. He has also been asked to deposit his National identity Card at court.
