The past few days have seen the Mugume’s all over social media.
It all started when red pepper published a post that famous NBS news Anchor Canary Mugume and his three year wife have separated because of toxicity.
This news was received with mixed emotions from social media; some believing it and saying that there is no smoke without fire and other simply stating that the same are baseless allegations.
On her X account, Sasha Mugume who calls herself Mrs. Mugume posted;
“Alcohol, the mother of all evil”
She didn’t stop there, she recorded a video to give her perspective about Marriage.
In the 7 minutes video, Mrs. Mugume stated that marriage is about two people and that these two have to protect themselves against the world.
She stated that it is very important for married people to fight for their marriages until and only until they feel like their lives are at stake.
She advised married people to reach out to counseling services if they feel like things are getting out of hand.
On children and Marriage, Mrs. Mugume said that children in a marriage are very sensitive and as a husband or wife, you need to strongly think about your children before making a decision about your marriage.
In as much as she asked people to protect their marriages, she also said that it is not a life time prison.
She said that it is okay to leave the marriage when things are getting soar.
Mrs. Mugume went on to discourage people from putting issues concerning their marriage on social media. She said that social media is cruel and it is also to the disadvantage of the children in the marriage.
As an alternative, she asked wives to only pray for their husbands to God who avenges for everyone.
This video has raised people’s eye brows. Social media is asking whether it is indeed connected to the rumors of their separation.
Many comments on the video suggest that indeed the two lover birds have separated.
Canary Mugume has not come out to say anything about the allegations which further increases people’s curiosity because Canary, being a journalist always wants to clear the air on almost all issues.
In Uganda, the divorce rates are continuing to go up given then way of lives of married people. We only hope that this is not the fate for this lovely marriage.
