The Uganda National Examinations Board has revealed how last year’s senior six Candidates passed excellently.
According to UNEB’S Executive Director Dan Odongo 99.2% of the candidates who sat for the UACE exams passed just as in 2020.
“An analysis of the overall performance in the examination shows that a very high percentage of candidates (99.2%) qualified for the award of the #UACE, just as was in 2020.”
There was however a dip in the number of female students who registered for last year’s exams compared to last year.
“”Forty thousand, seven hundred thirteen (40.713) female candidates registered for #UACE2022 compared to 41,190 in 2020. #UACE2022.”
Female candidates have also performed better than their male counterparts at all levels.
Further statics show that amongst the candidates who registered for the exams, males were much more than the females.
“A total of 97,889 candidates registered for the examination from 1, 969 Centres. Of the registered candidates, 42% were females while 58% were males.”
Meanwhile performance in Biology has dipped yet it had showed signs of improvement in 2020.
Females also performed better in Arts than males. Males on the other hand dominated sciences in the released UACE results 2022.
