Halima Namakula to arrest upcoming artiste re-did her ‘Ekimbewo’ song

Veteran musician and humanitarian Halima Namakula has vowed to arrest and detain a rising artist we only identified as Trevor who redid her song without her consent.

Halima Namakula sent out a stern warning to the rising artist saying it is very wrong of him to re-do any artist’s song without their consent.

Based on an audio clip making rounds on social media, the seemingly upset Halima Namakula is heard asking the rising artist who had sent her a sample of the remake of her “Ekimbewo” to delete it from all music streaming platforms.

In Uganda, there is a wave of young artistes re-doing the old songs that were bangers without permission from the owners.

Some have managed to make it to the top with the help of those songs like Geosteady, Gravity Omutujju, Radio and Weasel.

For Halima Namakula, she is not allowing anyone to play with her music yet she is still alive.
