There was drama at Next Media Services after MP Hon Betty Bakireke Nambooze nearly turned violent against fellow MP Abed Bwanika.
The duo were debating the release of MPs Allan Ssewanyana and Muhammad Ssegirinya.
According to Bwanika, negotiations with the government should go ahead to release more political prisoners.
Nambooze however opposed this and said that they can’t sit at the same table with Museveni to dialog.
Bwanika was angered by this submission and asked Nambooze if she has never negotiated with government.
The Mukono Municipality said that she has never and Bwanika asked her how she was taken to the US for treatment.
According to the Kimanya-Kabonera MP, MPs Muwanga Kivumbi, Mathias Mpuuga and Medard Lubega Ssegona took Nambooze to the Speaker’s office and asked her to help fund her medication in the US.
This angered Nambooze and she got up from her seat collected her things and attempted to exit studio.
She however came back but couldn’t downplay or challenge Bwanika’s submission about her.
