The search for Miss Uganda takes shape as Vivian Bonabana is crowned the Miss Uganda Western region 2023.
Vivian a 22 years old Munyoro from Kabarole district saw off competition from girls from Bunyoro, Tooro, Ankole and Kigezi regions to be crowned the beauty queen in the Western part of Uganda at Mountains of the moon hotel in Fortportal.
Afrah Kengazi a 23 years old from Isingiro district was the close competitor to Vivian abut she managed to come out as the first runners up whereas 19 years old Noritah Kengazi from Kabarole was the second runners up.
Vivian Bonabana joins the first two regional winners of Diana Desire Amviko (Northern) and Jacki Celine (West Nile).
The hunt for Miss Uganda continues as they will now turn focus to the central region with the auditions being held in Masaka on the 27th January and the crowning will be on the 29th before heading to Jinja for Miss East from the 3rd to 5th February.
The grand finale and crowning of Miss Uganda will be held in Kampala from the 8th to the 9th February.
The 2023 Miss Uganda is a reality TV show that airs on Makula TV channel with theme ‘Beauty beyond looks’ targeting girls from 18 years to 24 years.
